[GIFTED] Enchanted Christmas at Westonbirt Arboretum

Imagine stepping into an enchanted land where fairies dance through the forest, trees light up and talk, logs turn into musical instruments and there are magical surprises around every corner. Now throw in a cosy mix of mulled wine, hot chocolate, vintage funfair rides and festive stalls and you’ll find yourself at Westonbirt Arboretum’s Enchanted Christmas!

Pumpkin Picking at Poplars Farm, Bristol

Now I'm not usually one for following the crowds but after seeing my entire Instagram feed full of pumpkin pictures lately, I decided that I needed to jump on the bandwagon and take the boys pumpkin picking this half term!

We'd never been to a pumpkin patch before and I didn't really know what to expect but after doing a little bit of research, it looked like Poplars Farm in Frampton Cotterell would be our best bet.

[GIFTED] Bouncy Fun at AirHop Trampoline Park

Getting back into routine after the summer holidays has been far from easy! The thought of going back to reality left us all a bit down in the dumps so to cheer us up, Socialight invited the boys and I along to AirHop Trampoline Park, where we could bounce away our blues and jump into happy!

[GIFTED] Day Out at Newquay Zoo

We've just returned from a fun-filled family holiday in Cornwall, which has been our go-to destination for the last few years. With so many beautiful beaches and exciting attractions for the boys to explore, it's the sort of place that's just impossible to get bored of!
This time around we made it our mission to visit loads of places in and around Newquay, but the best day out by far was spent at Newquay Zoo.

[GIFTED] Day Out at Little Giggles Soft Play

If you think all soft play centres are noisy, sticky, stress-inducing places then think again - Little Giggles has set out to change all of that!
Like most parents of young children, I've been to a lot of local soft plays but even though it had been recommended to us countless times, we'd never got round to visiting Little Giggles before. Thanks to Socialight, we finally got the chance to go this week but did it live up to the hype?

Top Tips for Visiting the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta with Kids

The Balloon Fiesta is one of the biggest and best events in the Bristol calendar and it's taking place right now! It's spread across four days and with so much to see and do there, it's taken us a few trips to really make the most of everything that the Fiesta has to offer for kids.
If you're planning to visit over the weekend (which you totally should) then make a note of our top tips before you go...

[GIFTED] Day Out at Wild Place Project - Bear Wood

Wild Place Project is one of our absolute favourite places to visit, so when we heard they were opening up a brand new exhibit this summer, we couldn't wait to check it out! Their newest attraction is called 'Bear Wood'. It's a totally unique wildlife conservation project and, thanks to the lovely people at Socialight, we were among the first visitors to experience it.

12 Top Tips for Visiting Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park

Right, I've got a confession to make... I actually love Peppa Pig! I know she's a source of annoyance to a lot of parents but she's prevented an awful lot of tantrums in my house over the years and that alone is enough to make me a fan.

I've fully embraced both of my boys going through the 'Peppa stage', so much so that we took Finley to Peppa Pig World for his 2nd birthday. With Jacob turning 2 recently, we decided it was only fair to give him the same birthday treat, so last week we took a trip to Paultons Park to visit Peppa and her friends.

Day Out at Puxton Park

After weeks of rain and snow we decided to start the Easter holidays by making the most of the warmer weather and heading out of Bristol for a few days.

Our short break led us out into the Somerset countryside (not far from home, but it was enough to feel like a holiday for the boys!) and whilst there we decided to visit Puxton Park, a nearby family attraction that's part of a working farm.

Day Out at Slimbridge Wetland Centre

Living in Bristol means we're spoilt for choice when it comes to family days out. Not only are there loads of attractions right on our doorstep, but there's also plenty of great places to visit in the surrounding areas.

Rural Gloucestershire is just a short drive up the motorway from us and is home to Slimbridge Wetland Centre. It's somewhere I have vague memories of visiting when I was little and I was keen to experience it again through the boys' eyes, so a couple of weeks ago we decided to take a day trip there.
