[GIFTED] Review: Astral Face & Body Moisturiser

When it comes to skincare products, I've got to admit that I'm fussy. And I mean REALLY fussy! So when the lovely people at Astral asked if I'd like to try their Original Face and Body Moisturiser I wasn't sure what to expect.

The main reason that I'm fussy about creams is the texture - I can't stand products that are too heavy or leave your skin feeling greasy all day. That's not the case at all with Astral though! Although it's fairly thick consistency-wise, it actually feels really light on the skin. It's easy to apply and quick to soak in so there's no waiting around for it to dry (and because it's not sticky or greasy I can get dressed and put my make-up on straight away!)

As well as textures, I'm also quite particular about smells (I've been known to push my poor partner away just because he's wearing the wrong deodorant... See, I told you I was fussy!) Astral is very plain but has a slightly fresh smell to it which I absolutely love. Even though it's quite a light scent, it lasts all day and stays fresh.

The best thing about Astral's Face and Body Moisturiser is that I'm not allergic to it - hooray! There are a lot of products that I don't get on with because of having sensitive skin. Astral isn't actually labelled as 'sensitive' but the formula is so gentle that I'm able to use it all over with no problems. It also means that I'm happy to use it on the boys - luckily they don't seem to have inherited my rubbish skin but I'm still very conscious of what products I use on them, just in case.

As well as being able to share it with the boys, I love that I can use Astral all over on myself. As a busy mum, I don't really have time to use loads of different products so it's great to have one cream that does it all. Astral has actually become become part of my daily routine as I can just cover myself in it after stepping out of the shower and carry on with my morning!

Astral comes in distinctive blue pots and is available in a range of different sizes. A large 200ml pot is £3.89 which I think is great value since it lasts for AGES! You can also get mini 50ml pots which are just £1.29. Not only are these the perfect size to keep in the changing bag, but we've also found that they're really handy for taking on holiday (especially after windy walks or a day at the beach!)

Astral Original Face and Body Moisturiser is available from leading retailers such as Superdrug, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Asda.
